这次学到了： "setting the stage" “consistent momentum" "year-to-year growth" "our footing is solid"

一个大学成绩主要是c的学生写申请北美phd的个人陈述就可以这样说了：
”Even though my academic standing is not very impressive, I intentionally planned for it to set the stage for my Ph.D. research projects. My GPA is not excellent, but SOLID. Starting with straight C- in freshman year and ending with C+ in my senior year, my academic performance has shown consistent momentum. The year-to-year growth rate of my GPA is over 20% which underlines my potential to become a prolific scholar."
